EMILE PARISIEN 4TET
PROSPECTUS
Prospectus, winners of Jazz Migration's Class of 2023, create a sound with four voices, and emphasise the freedom of the discourses that intersect and intermingle. Resolutely acoustic, their music is raw, spontaneous and telluric. The compositions, influenced by the current New York free music scene and historic figures such as Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarrett and Steve Lacy, are by turns repetitive, pared-down or ruinous, leaving room for the expressiveness and lyricism of the musicians.
Concert organised as part of Jazz Migration, a support scheme for emerging jazz and improvised music musicians run by AJC, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture, the BNP Paribas Foundation, SACEM, ADAMI, SPEDIDAM, CNM, SPPF and the Institut Français.

LET THEM COOK
2004, an improvised jam, four musicians with a furious desire to break the rules and peel away the labels: a quartet was born. Since then, the magic has continued to work, as these four have constantly questioned and renewed themselves, always telling unusual stories. By integrating electronics into the programme celebrating their twenty years of existence, saxophonist Emile Parisien, pianist Julien Touéry, drummer Julien Loutelier and double bassist Ivan Gélugne show just how much they love exploring the unknown and creating surprises.
