After having studied with the great Jean-François Jenny-Clark and then taken part, for almost fifteen years, in all of guitarist Bernard Struber's orchestral ventures, the Strasburgian bassist Jeremy Lirola has not only asserted himself as one of the most elegant sidemen of the young hexagonal jazz scene, but also as an inspired leader and composer, rich from an authentically original universe.
Basing the organic unity of his quartet on a constant rhythmic complicity with drummer Nicolas Larmignat, Lirola provides Denis Guivarc'h's alto saxophone's lyricism and pianist Maxime Sanchez's harmonic refinement with spaces to fully express their singularities in a lyrical musical proposal, at the same time modern and nourished by tradition.
