Formed around the percussions of Guy Constant by Nicolas Gégot on saxophones and Yragaël Unger on keyboards and drums, the EPO Trio (Eclectick Percussion Orchestra) has imposed itself over the years as a band with a fluctuating, composite and eternally evolving identity, by revisiting a multitude of musical traditions from all around the world through the prism of an open and syncretic conception of jazz, inherited from the famous slogan of the Art Ensemble of Chicago: "Ancient to the Future". By joining forces with the Bansûri flute specialist Rishab Prasanna for this new project, it is at the origins of the rich and thousand-year-old Indian musical tradition that the EPO Trio undertakes this Grand Voyage (Great Journey) as much spiritually interior as musicological – in search of what is still possible to discover as new in oneself by taking the risk of venturing into contact with others.
