“In Thérapie de Couple (couple therapy)” Daniel Erdmann says, “the relationship we are talking about, naturally, is Germany-France. “Every now and then, the engine of Europe has a marital crisis.” Saxophonist and bandleader Daniel Erdmann is ideally placed to offer counselling, knowing the differences, similarities, possible misunderstandings, the psychology of these two countries so well. He is particularly pleased to have been invited to set up a new German-French sextet, and has chosen to run with a combination of choosing musicians whom he already knows very well – together with the security which that brings – and inviting brand new people to bring the joy and the magic of uncertainty.
