SUZANNE
+ NOUT
+ COCCOLITE
The more years pass, the more the bands selected by the Jazz Migration support program seem to literally take the mission implicitly contained in its name, by making jazz migrate further and further from its sole bases... Whether with Suzanne, drawing its roots from folk as well as from Western chamber music, in a highly sophisticated synthesis, or with the Nout trio, exploding the funambulist balance of its iconoclastic orchestration with intense sonic explosions borrowed from metal; or lastly with the Coccolite group, adorning their dizzying collective improvisations with hip-hop grooves and synthetic sound textures derived from electronic musics — all of them develop progressive visions of jazz, simultaneously matrix and avant-garde of the great contemporary aesthetic melting pot.
As part of the Jazz Migration #7 tour, a support program for young musicians / in partnership with AJC
