In April 2022, as part of the transatlantic network "The Bridge", dedicated to multiplying cross-cultural and idiomatic exchanges between the French and American experimental scenes, the idea was born for an original formation, Stembells, which would have placed at its core the expressive rage of trumpeter Jaimie Branch. Although her sudden death did put a premature end to the project, the desire sticked with guitarist Gilles Coronado and drummer Tim Daisy, and it is in the company of saxophonist Molly Jones, guitarist Tatiana Paris and vocalist Emilie Desbros that the two musicians decided to go all the way, imagining a hybrid, flamboyant orchestra able to achieve in its own way levels of lyrical intensity and expression that the trumpeter had made her signature of.
