2024/2025 Jazzdor has a new project Eurodistrikt Strasbourg-Ortenau, with the musician and composer Pascal Niggenkemper. The field recording workshop "A bord de l'Arkestra" will take place in May and June 2024.

Like "sound hunters", the students, each with their own cassette recorder, will go in search of sounds, moods and melodies from yesterday and today. The result is a field recording of the Konrad Adenauer Primary School and the surrounding area, as well as Sun RA's personal archive recordings. Off we go, aboard the spaceship Arkestra, to meet the composer, poet and founder of Afrofuturism Sun Ra: cosmic and militant jazz. Following this workshop, the French and German students will come together to form the Ensemble Multiversum and present a concert for cassette player, double bass and trumpet, "Space is the place". The performance will take place on June 12 at the Theater BAden ALsace, Europäisches Forum am Rhein Neuried.
