LES ÉGARÉS
LES ÉGARÉS
Ballaké Sissoko on kora, Vincent Segal on cello, Vincent Peirani on accordion and Émile Parisien on saxophone: born of a chance jam on the bangs of the Nuits de Fourvière, this quartet achieves an alchemy that crosses genres and sounds. Les Égarés venture beyond jazz, drifting into traditional Mandingo or Transylvanian melodies, ancestral blues or Coltranian trance. All these timbres and pulsations are transcended by a powerful search for unison, and dazzling improvisations. These four creative figures of French jazz create a poetic territory where the ear is the king-instrument, where virtuosity is expressed first and foremost in the art of complicity, and where the simple yet grandiose desire to listen to others results in the birth of a singular four-part song.
Our Jazzpassage events are Franco-German evenings programmed in partnership with Offenburg's Kulturbüro, with the support of AJC.
