DAVID CHEVALLIER
VOX
Since the mid-2000s, guitarist David Chevallier has imposed his sound signature in various projects where jazz, folk and pop music on one hand, baroque and Renaissance music on the other, enter into conversations. Either updating melodies of John Dowland through the prism of improvisation or adapting songs of Björk on period instruments, he has chosen the organic relationship between his guitar and the use of voice the center axis of his lyricism. Today he offers the listener to a new variation of these affinities, by inviting the vocal trio comprised of Anne Magouët, Elise Dabrowski and David Linx, to revisit a set of seventeenth century's English melodies, accompanied by the sounds of his acoustic guitar. At the crossroads of jazz, improvised music and early music, David Chevallier's gesture has never sounded more contemporary.

THE KILLING POPES FEAT. MARC DUCRET & CLAUDIA SOLAL
One of the flagships groups on the new Berlin scene, The Killing Popes expresses the originality of its music through the complementarity between its leader, drummer and composer Oliver Steidle, and its keyboardist Dan Nicholls. Declining all the potentialities of an aesthetic based on both fragmentation and collage through labyrinthine compositions pulsed with kaleidoscopic rhythms strongly inspired by electronic music, The Killing Popes offer an ultra-contemporary universe that mixes free jazz, noise pop and punk rock. There is no doubt that their guests — singer Claudia Solal and guitarist Marc Ducret — will be welcome additions with their respective poetics, to enrich this sound magma of energetic bypasses, complex rhythms and controlled improvisations.
