Since his beginnings with La Campagnie des musiques à ouïr, saxophonist Christophe Monniot has captivated audiences with his unique ability to anchor his discourse in an intimate knowledge of jazz, and to venture into both contemporary chamber music and the more or less imaginary folklores that have nourished European jazz for almost 50 years. A great regulator of the moods of Maciej Obara's quartet, Polish pianist Dominik Wania has established himself in recent years as one of the finest stylists of contemporary jazz, with a luminous touch and a loose phrasing of great harmonic sophistication. Together, these two refined and erudite improvisers intend to cross their experiences in a dialogue that is as free as it is lyrical.
