TUBA TRIO
Michel Godard Tuba trio feat. Anne Paceo & Florian Weber
Tuba player and serpentine player Michel Godard likes to cross paths with jazz and classical music, and his explorations have led him to eclectic and rich musical associations. His Franco-German trio with pianist Florian Weber and drummer Anne Paceo may come as a surprise, given how unusual it is for a piano and percussion instruments to be led by a tuba, but it is the powerful bass instrument that sets the rhythm and drives the music on a journey into unsuspected worlds of sound.

CÉLESTINE IN THE CLOUDS
Jazzdor gives a free pass to singer and bassoonist Sophie Bernado, who has surrounded herself with musicians from very different backgrounds. Marie-Pascale Dubé is a specialist in Inuit throat singing, Taiko Saito is one of Germany's most eclectic vibraphonists, and Joachim Florent is a double bass player constantly on the lookout for new sound territories, in particular with drummer Francesco Pastacaldi. Sophie Bernado has conceived her creation as a palette of colours, as many textural possibilities offered by the instrumentarium. The protean quartet takes us on a journey between contemporary reveries and world music, between improvisation and classical influences, in the impalpable clouds of the imagination.
